Dear Messiah Family –
It’s hard to believe that we are already approaching the end of January 2021. This coming Sunday, January 31, will be our MLC Annual Meeting. While we will not be together in person due to the ongoing risks with the pandemic, it is my hope that we can still come together virtually, celebrate all that was accomplished in spite of COVID-19 in 2020, and look forward to 2021. Please join us this Sunday morning at 10:45 a.m. via Zoom or by phone so that you can be part of this important annual event.
The council met for our monthly meeting last Thursday. You can see all that we are working on by checking out our monthly minutes which are posted on the MLC website.
Highlights from last week’s meeting include:
- A strong treasurer’s report in December that is allowing us to carry forward more than $83,000 into our general fund reserve.
- Conversation around beginning to build a plan for in-person worship again, when appropriate.
- Planning for the annual meeting.
- An update from our Transition Team helping us in the planning for a new Associate Pastor.
All of the council members are listed on the website with our email addresses. If you ever have questions on what we are up to or have ideas to share, please reach out to any of us.
We hope to see you at our annual meeting on Sunday.
Warmest wishes –
Anne Baunach
Council Secretary
