Messiah resumed in-person worship on Sunday, February 27. Seeing one another in our sanctuary, as well as welcoming those worshipping with us online, is a blessing after the recent Omicron surge.
This coming weekend the mask mandate in Washington State will end for most businesses and organizations. After the state, county, or school district makes a pandemic policy change, it is Messiah’s practice to take an additional couple of weeks to consider whether we as a faith community will follow with a similar change. This gives the Executive Team and Church Council time to thoughtfully engage in conversation and decision making.
Plan for Messiah to continue to require masks in the building at least through March 20. Between now and then, reach out to council members and have a conversation about Messiah’s mask policy following March 20.
Messiah will also be looking to bring back expanded fellowship. We are excited that funds have been donated to replace and upgrade our coffee service in the Gathering Space. Look also for expanded programming as spring approaches.
This is an exciting time to regather as a community of faith. We look forward to seeing folks in the sanctuary as we worship together and reconnect after a long period of pandemic isolation.
