Stewardship 2025
Stewardship Thoughts: Corinthians
In Corinthians, Paul urges followers of Jesus give away a portion of what they have received for the benefit of others. This activity of generosity grows out of the love God has for us in Christ, and it reflects how God’s love transforms our hearts and minds. This type of generosity takes reflection, prayer, and planning.
Stewardship III: Sent for the Love of the World
What do we do when we experience loss or feel afraid? We look up. We look ahead. We trust God’s promises & walk boldly into the future. That is true stewardship of the gift we have all received: the gift of life.
Stewardship I: Separation and Return
IMessiah’s future is rooted in the generous stewardship we practice today. As we finish 2024 and enter 2025, we ground our work of generosity in the hope-filled message of Jeremiah 29:11, “For surely I know the plans I have for you, says God, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.”
Stewardship II: Homecoming and Hope
In our life together at Messiah, we are a community at home with one another in this place. We laugh, cry, remember, support and dream together of God’s future for us. And as we do so, hope comes alive among us. We move from the pain of loneliness and isolation to the profound joy of companionship and community.
